Is the raven smooth?

If you mean smooth like a steel coaster, no. It is not brutal, but it lets you know it's a woodie the the grand style.

Smoother than the average woodie so to speak

It was smooth for me until the after the last major air hill. Then you enter a whole bunch of twists and turns that after a few rides can really put brusies on your hips...(seat dividers)

But other then that the ride is pretty much smooth...

How about Legend? which is smoother?

Legend if pretty smooth also... I personally thought that Legend was smoother, but had some major laterals exiting the Double Helix! I was practically hanging over the side of the train... lol...

Legend and Raven are both smooth by woodie standards, yes. However, I tend to make a distinction between tracking smooth and having a smooth layout. Look at Flight of Fear... I always said it tracked smooth, but the transitions were crappy (turned out they were just fine, it was just the damn restraints).

Both rides are smooth, but both press you with insane lateral forces. You really get pressed to one side or the other of your seat pretty much all of the time. It's really insane.

I like it.

That's not smooth tracking, man. That's really bad tracking and bad restraints! :) Smooth tracking is like what SFDLs S:ROS does.

Raven and Legend are probably the 2 best cared for wood coasters out there.
