Perilous Plunge opened today!!!! (6/1/02)

We went on at like 9:25 PM. The ride has straps on each side get in those, buckle them up (which is stupid, cause like wat the lady did, u can unbuckle that as well) pull green straps n ur waste towards u,, till there tight, and do the same on top of ur shoulders, by pulling the green tabs down. Than you pull down your lap bar (no more confusing seat belt). The load time was SLOW (like 4-7 mins between, and only ONE train was on today). Xcelerator was testing today (we saw it 3 times, and once was a role back.) PP is smoother now, and is acutally not that bad, but it's not as scary. My friend Travis said he though it be scarier, but he still liked it. Our wait was 40 mins, and this was at night time, and it was the last part of the que (about maybe 100-150 ft till u reach the turnstyles) I heard it got up to 3 hours today.
i'm sure the reason capacity was horrible was because the restraints were foriegn to the ride ops and only 1 boat was running. lets see how perilous plunge fairs in 2 weeks, shall we. i am certain they'll get the ride cycle to under 2.5 minutes as they gain experience.

also, why the hell can't you write proper english. i know its late, but your post is un readable.

I was at KBF recently, midweek, and it seemed as though all crews were extremely sllllllooooooww - Ghostrider especially had a long wait considering how few people were in the park - very long waits between dispatch. Ahhh, but it's worth the wait I suppose!

WARNING: May be habit forming

Beware of going to Knotts when its empty. The ride ops can be rather unmotivated... But that seems like it is the case with most parks on empty days.

And Perilous Plunge yesterday looked like it belonged at Cedar Point with 5 ride ops working the ride, and demonstrating the restraints!

Xcelerator-
0-82 in 2.3 seconds! =Wow!

if you think 7 minute cycles are bad, you should have seen how long it took the park employees (they were more dressed liked management) to cycle vertigo when it first opened. at least 7 minutes between cycles with 3 attendents checking 6 restraints.
