Batman The Ride kills at SFoG

A Six Flags Over Georgia employee/mechanic was killed today when a rider's foot struck him in the head on Batman The Ride.

This reminds me of a VERY similar incident that happened with PGA's Top Gun inverted a few years ago...

Dang, the death count of ride operators goes up, and now on a Batman. Remember Mike's incedent on Boulder Dash? Still can't believe my Boulder wasthe weapon that killed the poor man :(

I was at the ride when this happened! We had just gone up the QBot line when the ride ops went nuts, and everyone had to leave. A ton of emergency personnel ran up there with a stretcher. There were some people crying on the ground, and I wanted to see what was going on, but we had to leave.

That happened on the nor' easter too.

I thought that ride lockdown is required before admitance into the area behind the fence or if the ride is broken down

Poor mechanic :-( I feel for his family.

I'm sure that the worker was not following procedure, it really is a shame that we see why there are such strict rules for ride-ops.

My two favorite coasters are named Superman.

I feel terrible for the man and his family. But, if the ride was operating with public, I don't know why int he world he would have gone into a restricted area.

I feel bad for the worker but I also feel really bad for the woman who hit and killed the worker by accident, she has to be going through alot tonight.
