Six Flags America announcement tomorrow

What does everybody think six flags america's big announcement will be?

I know this wont be the announcement, but if they wanted to make me happy, they would announce the planting of trees in the Gotham City/DC Comics area.

Secondly, I would like to hear that they are enclosing the old 'Python' coaster, and bring it back as a dark ride.

However, if none of those things take place, I would like to see a sitdown/floorless B&M. I think SFA is one of the only SF parks that doesnt have a regular seated (i.e. non-inverted), chain driven, looping coaster.

Nevertheless, I *know* a B&M is out of the question now, based on the usual B&M building timelines. If anything, they will get one of the silly flying coasters. Why? Well remember PKD was *supposed* to get one. This will be somewhat of a coup for SFA.

Silly as in concept. Really, a flying coaster is a gimmick. Their only real place in the coaster world is as a replacement for the Arrow suspended coasters. I'm sure stealth is a very fun ride. And perhaps my tone came across a little too harsh, but the concept doesnt impress me much. However, I will take your admonishment under advisement ;)

Strangely enough :), my hopes coincide with 2Hostyl's.

I think SFA needs a year off to make some capital improvements. More trees, maybe some more theming, and the readdition of the Python to SFA's coaster lineup(to the left of the Batman Stunt Show and underground**crossing fingers**). Oh, and I wouldn't mind;) those standup cars for Tower of Doom like a Drayton Manor, but only if they get TOD's kinks fixed as well.

Then next year they can bring in the record breaking B&M standup, the first to have a zero-G roll(Please, please, please). Then, and only then, I'll be satisfied:). *** This post was edited by SFAGuy on 12/6/2000. ***

I really think SFA is getting the Flying Dutchman. But are you for sure it's going to be announced tomorrow? I've heard SFO is going to be announced tomorrow also (12-7-00). Superman2k, where did you hear it will be announced tomorrow?

Well, maybe because it was dark, or I just wanted out to get to BGW, but when I went back to ride SROS(which was great in the dark), I failed to find a bathroom back there.

The bathroom was back by the Stunt Show stadium. The park probably will get a Flying Coaster next year, but that would still leave about 2-3 million available for other improvements, assuming they spend the same amount as this year on new stuff.

As anybody heard any news today concerning sfa'a announcement today. If it hasn't happended yet what time does it happen.

I haven't heard anything. Does anybody else (with connections) know anything.

They've got tight competition, though, how do compete against some buffoons in lawyer suits arguing how somebody can't fill out an absentee ballot.

I am not saying it will be a top story but the DC/baltimore news stations do local stories too.

And by the way the place I heard it was going to be announced was at Thrillride.

I'm just kidding. I'm just saying that it's hard to get on the news when there are some lawyers arguing about whether or not there should be a recount.
