This in only speculation on my part but here's how I believe a 2-train operation will work on Xcelerator:
Train #1 is in the station, train #2 waits on the curve following the brake run. Train #1 is launched. As soon as train #1 clears the top hat train #2 is advanced into the station [there are tires on the curve used to advance the train forward]. As train #2 is loaded, train #1 completes the course and comes to a stop on the curve just before the station. As short as the cycle time is on Xcelerator [observation, not a complaint] there is no way they WON'T stack trains.

Don't forget "Operation Graduation" June 1st @ SRM - bring Pat Koch a graduation card! See Coasterbuzz News for details.
Don't you just love how people know stuff about, and judge rides before a human ever rides them! I sure wish my crystal ball worked.
Sure, Xcellerator won't be the highest capacity coaster ever, but an intamin ride staffed by Cedar Fair usually has good capacity. Look at the great job they're doing with Wicked Twister capacity! I bet Xcellerator could easily top that capacity.

I will say the PPH will hover right about a 1000 just like WT.
Why? Two trains have 40 peeps total, about a minute ride time. WT has 32 peeps total about a minute ride time and te time loading the two trains for Excelerato will equal things out.
