Getting Park maps

Can you just send a letter to a park and they will send you one or do you have to do something to get them. Do some parks send them and others not?

Well, last year I wrote to almost every major park requesting some maps, most of them sent me back what I asked for. Right now I am getting ready for my next map request.

Yes, most parks send you brochures and maps on request.

I am such a freak that I usually take 3 or 4 park maps...cut one up and put it on my door, and save the others...sometimes setting them out.

I dunno if I'm the only one that does that.:)

So can I just say something like "Dear SixFlags Magic Mountain, I am very interested in rollercoasters and was wondering if you could send me a map of your park for 2002. Thank you" Should I just send it to the park in general or a special branch of the park?

Or you might try calling the park and requesting a map. Writing also works. I would say just send it to the park in general, it should get to the right place.

I have written or called most major parks and have requested maps and stuff and have usually gotten them! There are a couple of parks that may not respond to writing (as I have learned) so if you are willing to spend the long distance bills (depends on where you are calling), I would say call them. They almost always respond that way!

I wish that parks sold the giant wall maps, i used to get those for SFMM but they stopped making them a few years bask, it is great just looking at them.

Gotta say that I thought I hit the gold mine last year at SFA's guest relations....they had maps of about four other SF parks, including the yet-elusive SFStL, which we've yet to get to....at least we'll (finally) get SFGAm sooooon! Viper is gonna get worn out....
