The three cars are there for testing purposes.

Notice that there is one of each car style: front, middle (which there are actually 3 of) and a back car...

I'm not convinced that these are the actual trains...

Sorry, but what is a "pullthrough"?

Yes, I have never heard of a pull through until now. Do they do this on ALL coasters before testing them?

Correct me if im wrong, but a pull through is when a crane pulls one or more cars around the curcuit to measure passenger clearance and variouse things. Hope my explaination helps cause thats as much as i know but if anyone else can add to that then feel free to do so.

Yah you're right, actually, today they did a pull-through. I have watched Xcel grow from the small land clearing into the great pink (or whatever color it is) and green monster it is today. Actually it was rather fast! But, anyways, Xcel might be testing soon, or thats what I've heard. But here's a question, why only 3/5 of the train for the pull-through?? Any answers?

I assume that they used 3 cars instead of 5, because using less cars = less weight, Xccelerating :) the pull-through process.

If I recall correctly, they didn't use the full train length in the pull through for Millennium Force either. I think having the front, middle and back cars would be enough to insure all cars have adequate clearance.

"I love those standard Intamin trains and the 50's car look is very cool. Love those tail fins. Good job KBF."

Just to be sure, I looked back through some of my books. The cars are definitely modeled after the '57 Chevy Bel Air. I love how they even have the three little chrome gills behind the headlights. Awesome!

I wonder if the headlights will work... Not a big deal at all, but it would be really cool.

That and skidding sound effects as the train launches...
