Wicked Twister Kicks your Butt!!

Holy crap, back seat of that thing is so intense its not even funny. I was truly blown away and speechless, bar none one of the most intense coasters i have ever rode and probably the most intense. I have yet to ride V2 or S:UE but I have to say there is no way the holding brake can be as intense as this at all. The coaster has it all rolled into one.

Laterals, Positive G's, and Negative G's, Just too awesome.

I can't wait to ride WT. I have been on S:UE many times and I want to compare the two and see if I enjoy the holding brake or the back twist better. My first ride on WT will be at CoasterMania on June 7th.

mmm, roller coaster

Well my bro Kneemeister has rode both and says the twist slaughters the holding brake, whatever weight that holds.

I think V2 is way better than Wicked Twister. Then again I'm not a big fan of impulses anyway

EDIT: and yes I rode both!

Delano,

When did you ride Wicked Twister?

Planned Parks for this summer: SFoGa, CP, SFWoA, SFGAm, SFKK, PKI, MA, SFStL, HW, KW. Is 10 enough?

Yeah, tell us you flew in from California for opening day!

We made several more believers yesterday. I suppose that since most of us had the mindset that it was "just" an Impulse, our expectations weren't that high. Imagine our surprise when our expectations were blown away!

Blown away is the understatement of the new millenium. This is the most intense coaster at CP bar none. More so then Mantis and Raptor. It totally wears you out it is such complete sensory overload.

How do the g-forces on the back spike compare on WT to say V2 or SUE? I always loved the feeling of being thrust backwards into the straight spike on V2 looking down at the ground. How does the twisted spike compare?

Just as soon as you've been pinned you get yanked around big time. That's the sensation that I think we're all so damn excited about.

First time I rode I rode in seat 4, second and thrid time I sat in the very back seat, fourth time in the very front, and fifth time in seat 8. I have to agree that the back is the best! The rear tower is just insane from the back! You twist so fast and so smooth! You get a great view of CP spiraling below you. I can't wait to ride again later in the week!

Force Laps: 424
Wicked Twists: 5
VertiGo Shots: 32

You hang there and then before you know it you are sucked down a drain flying through the best legchoppers ever. I really doubt how a holding brake can beat this, but I guess I will have to try it myself. The ride is just so intense.

I do not find it intense at all.

It is great fun and fills a niche at CP very well. But to say this ride has more intensity than say MForce or Raptor is a bit over-exaggerated IMO.

Again, I like it a lot, but personally enjoy other rides at CP more.

Shaggy did you ride in the back seat. I rode twice yesterday, in the middle it was tame, it the back seat OMG.

I rode WT 14 times on media day.

4 times were in the very rear seat. Five other times near the rear, and 5 times in the front/middle. I never rode very front seat, but did get up to the second row.

Again, I much prefer the rear, but personally do not find it quite as intense as, say, MForce's First Drop.

This is my new favorite coaster in the Park! The back seat is so intense and you really can't appreciate the speed until you ride it.

Good enough answer for me Shaggy. I just thought 200 feet twisting down was better then 300 feet at 80 degrees to me.

Too compare WT to MF is really apples and oranges. I don't really find MF intense the way I found WT to be. The closest ride in intensity at CP would have to be Raptor in the back seat. So many positive G's on that thing.

Anyway CP now has 4 world class coasters and 3 over 200 feet. One is bound to be your cup of tea.

I liked it, but raptor is still my fave. i got to ride in the back seat and the air time is sweet when you reach the top of the tower's. i like the ait time on wt more than the holding brake on s:ue.

Kicks your butt might be an understatement. The back is hands down the most intense for me. Spiraling backwards up that spike is incredible and hanging there for a second and checking out everything below is quite a view.

As far as visual euphoria, I'd go with the front seat every time. The second time traveling through the forward spike is incredible; spiraling towards the clouds is something you don't get to see too often. Dropping off the backward spiral coming back into the station is quite a trip as well, plummeting towards the ground then you get whipped horizontal and whizzed through the station past a blur of onlookers. Very nice. Definitely mark one up for CP with this one.

If only I could legally drive from Mich to CP at MF's top speed. I could shave 42 minutes off my drive time.

Back seat kicks!!!!!

Good Times!! Good Times!!

Back row on WT is insane! Got 3 laps yesterday, 2 were in the back. The most intense part is when you get launched up the back spike, holy s*** STRONG positive G's!

I think it might actually be my favorite coaster in the park now.
