IOA tomorrow!

Hey peeps,

I am going to IOA tomorrow with a coaster-loving friend. Other than the heat and the fact that Popeye and Bluto's raft ride is down, what can I expect in terms of a crowd?

Awwww, the raft ride ROCKS....sorry it'll be down.....

I'd suggest an early arrival, hit Spidey, then Hulk and on to DDR (the *real* DDR, Sean...;)). After that, take your time and enjoy......The dragon's lair awaits. I never miss the Flying Unicorn, great theming.......If you can, catch the PF flyers. Crowds generally aren't too bad during the week, but Spidey's always bad due to low capacity, and DDR fils up a bit when the weather heats up. Fire and Ice are people-eaters, so their line usually isn't bad except for the dreaded Saturdays........Have a great time!

We'll be visiting the park next week...work's taking us to O-Town for conferences....bummer....;)

the barge is fun, but you get too wet. I was there when there was a heat wave and i was drenched the whole day. Maybe i'll wear a poncho or something when i go this summer

I actually liked the Dragons in the back, you get more of the dueling aspect.

Believe it or not when I went on the barge earlier this year I came off the ride pretty much unscathed. Everyone else managed to get soaked, but yet I was spared. Go figure.

No Actually I think It is Dudley Do-Rights Water Ride....You get soaked on the first drop!

Still wondering about the water "cannons" on the Good Ship Olive....I mean, the cannons at BGT launch some serious water at the raft riders, but the ones at IoA are, well....not as forceful...;)

Its been ages since I've been on the ride at BGT, but aren't those "cannons" (more like fire hoses) used to direct the raft? Or has BGT since installed the interactive kind?

Not interactive, folks on the walkway overlooking the ride can shoot water cannons at the riders.....the parks' "firehoses" direct the raft, the guests' cannons soak the riders. At IoA, on the Olive overlloking the ride, there are also this kind of water cannon, although most cheap water pistols put out more water....not really anything to "complain" about, but hey, I'm a complainer...;)
