Paramount Great America evacuation?

Ya I heard today on the radio they evacuated everyone out. Anyone know why? My guess since today is 4/20 (national pot day), that maybe to many people were smokin pot there?

I wish! I didn't here anything about that. Hope it doesn't effect my trip tomarrow.

I guess I was wrong just saw it on the news. Some people got in a fight and that led to more fights. Then the park was evacuated.

Yeah, after the evacuation, which was caused by fights breaking out during a local radio station's dance contest, people were doing donuts and burnouts in the parking lot, turning it into the "sideshow." Nearby gas stations were looted. The police arrived in riot gear, and even brought out the ghetto bird.

I just caught both reports on the news, as the lead stories, the pictures are quite insane, there were hundreds of people running from the ticket plaza and a ton of kids started riding in cars, a rioting shaking cars, then the riot squad came in, and then a Shell Station was damged. But for people going to the park tomorrow, everything should be alright according to PGA, the reason for the Evac was there were far to many fights going on the in park at once, eye wittnesses said guys were just going all through the park fighting, no damage was done to PGA though. Sounds fun!

I was there yesterday, and I was on Xtreme Skyflyer with my friends, and my dad came up to me and told us that a fight had broken out and that there are police everywhere. We kind of ignored it, but after a few minutes, another fight had broken out and we decided to leave. That was at about 6:00 and as we were leaving, an annoucement came over the speakers that said "We will be closing the park in 5 minutes." I am assuming they shut the park down because of the fights. Anyways, as we walked to the parking lot, there were dozens of cars driving around recklessly, all with the doors open, playing rap at full volume. It was quite a sight to see...

These darn people with their "cruising", people just DO NOT realize the things they could get away with if they kept a low profile & respected the fact that there are times/places for everything. Plus the fact that these car stereo people can't understand why stupid vibrating & general noise is bothersome to people who would otherwise mind their own business. My neighbors brag to their buddies about disturbing my household, it's like a trophy for them everytime they disturb me, shaking windows, stuff falls to the floor, it's so mature, lol.

Yet another "generation" out to prove something.

What exactly were the fights over? Awww, shucks, I'll read the news story, it sounds like it may be about jocks.......
