Q: Fastlane at SFMM?

I havent been to the Mountain since July 2000. I was hoping to make it back last year but went to WDW instead.

Now with definite stop for X, Deja Vu and Xcelerator on the cards for October, I was wondering what is fastlane and how does it work?

Is it like fastpass? Or is it something else?

There isnt much about on the SF site so some help would be appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken, by the time you hit SFMM in October, they will have converted to Lo-Q.

Fastlane is were you buy it for I believe 15 dollars, to get to go up the exit of a few rides, for X you still wait about 45 minutes, but LO Q is coming by then.

SFMM currently has Fastlane and will continue to have Fastlane until 2003. Basically, you purchase Fastlane tickets for $15, which have 4 tickets. You go up the the rides that have Fastlane and follow the directions to the Fastlane entrance. You then enter the line right where it breaks up into the individual rows.
The following rides currently have Fastlane:
Arrowhead Splashdown
Colossus
Goliath
The Revolution
Riddler's Revenge
Viper
X
Please be aware that Deja Vu and Batman do not have Fastlane and probably never will (Batman used to, however it caused problems for the ride ops)

Since Deja Vu has only one train, Fastlane would create worse lines than it has already.

If they had it no, what good would it do if Delayja Vu is always breaking down. Sounds more like the slow lane and SFMM will be raided at the ticket booth for Fastlane refunds.

A few words of warning though. If you use Fastlane on a popular ride like X, the wait will still be about 35min. Much shorter than the 3hrs, but still you will have to wait. When you use it on Goliath, or atleast when I did, I got right into the station and only waited about 5min. So in short, it works fairly well on all the major rides except X.

Whats LoQ? Im only used to fastpass (at d-land), and fastlane (at SFMM). LoQ sounds like fastpass to me, but if I'm wrong than say something

Yes, Lo-Q is (supposed) to be very similar to FastPass and Disneyland, you get a q-bot which reserves a time for a ride which you scan at the entrance and come back at the time it tells you ('supposed' to be the same time you would 'normally' wait in line) but you dont have to wait in the line itself. So in simple terms, yes, its like Fastpass, but it costs extra.

Lo-Q costs extra? I thought it was going to be free like FastPass. How much does Lo-Q cost to use?
