Great Adventure does it again

Just heard the commercial, and once again they called Medusa a floorless flying coaster. Why cant they just call it floorless?
Because flying sounds better. Not exactly a big deal.

Yea, but what if next year they get a flying coaster (which is very possible). What would they call it? The gp will think its the same as Medusa until they see it.
Then maybe they won't call it a flying coaster. I personally don't think that the average park goer is memorizing what is in SF's ads from one year to the next. Usually the part they hear is "NEW COASTER" and leave it at that.

Because the original comercail went "........Your strapped to a flying chair, 14 stories in the air!"

sounds better.

uhh...I don't know about you guys, but flying chair sounds like a great description. calling it a flying coaster or a floorless flying coaster might confuse people, but they're also calling Deja Vu the world's tallest, fastest suspended looping boomerang coaster. now if that isn't a mouthful, I don't know what is.

Hey, if you think that the Vekoma GIB is a mouthful, wait until they get that inverted, wooden, stand-up, floorless, LIM lauched, hyper-giga-tera super crazy cool insano stupid coaster!

Aight you okay Coaster131 (lol). Medusa does feel like your flying so they use floorless flying coaster as a advertisement its not a coaster catergory, and a B&M I think refer their flyers as lay down coasters. They use some terms to make the ride seem like it is bigger than it is. I really though Nitro would have a Incredible Hulk launch because they said it is explosive. Just like when I saw the Medusa logo I really thought the ride dives under itself and have inverted helix's. I guess I was a little gullable.
I don't see what the big deal is. Traditionally, coasters are known as the next best thing to flying. Thats what people would compare it to.

Are roller coasters my life? NO, but I certainly like them!

Since Medusa came out i never heard them call it a floorless flying coaster, I have always heard the strap to a flying chair thou and i always liked the way that sound becuase that is what riding medusa feels like.
