moonsault scramble

Does anyone know anything about this coaster? i've heard many things and that it has been at one of 2 parks. Nagihsima Spaland (sp?) and Fujikyu Highlands (again sp?). Which one was it, who built it? and does anyone has any pictures of it besides that same pretzel loop pic? and wa it ful circuit or shuttle? thanks in advance.

it was a shuttle, built by Meisho at Fujikyu Highland with a great G force of 6.2. shame it was taken down, i would have gone on it!

It was a shuttle coaster, similar to a boomerang (minus the vertical loop).

Togo built three of them, one at Fujikyu, one at Nagashima, and one for travel. Unfortunately, none of them currently operate anymore. I had the chance to ride the traveling one which I believe was the one that originally operated at Nagashima, I rode it on my visit to Japan at some type of festival/celebration in I believe Osaka. It was very rough, the drop was awsome but it's speed a roughness had majorside effect on that tight inversion. They're more thrilling than your average boomerang but follow the Togo trend of being painful.

Vertigo....LOL!!! I had the chance to ride it at Fujikyu. Super intense climb to the top, and had mega S:TE type weightlessness, but as you said the inversion was taken much too fast, and suffered from it. It was intense, but I have ridden and liked much more violent rides. Regardless, it saddens me to see it gone for another trendy (Dodonpa) ride.

I can't tell, but it looks like it goes backwards then forwards. Is this the case?

Also, it looks like there's no additional drive on the second hill. Does it just go high enough the first time for both passes?

Andy, it DID....:( It was quite intense to be released backwards at the top of that monster hill. There was no link up on the top of the second hill, just like the Schwartzkopf coasters i.e Montezooma's Revenge.

I'm fairly certain that Meisho built Moonsault Scramble, not TOGO. That certainly does not look like typical TOGO track.

Man, that video sucks, but what I could see of the ride, the pretzel loop looks intense. Painful, but intesne.

Meisho did indeed build it, but according to some (not I), Meisho is a division of TOGO (?)...hmmmm....

No no no, Meisho was the distributor, it was actually created by Vekoma believe it or not. It was also 207ft tall, which in my eyes, makes it the first hyper, since it was before Magnum.

Again, that wasn't information from me.......(heavy disclaimer) I rode it, though, which is a claim to fame. It took a long time to get to the top too, which heavily magnified the height.

Yes it is a Vekoma design built by Meisho. As for the hyper deal, don't even go there, only one car ever made it higher then 200 feet, most of the were well below 200.
