Doesn't look like it's an amusement park. Maybe one of the British posters can tell us more.
Just copy and paste the link, something weird happened...

i have actually been to this park. as someone said above, it isnt an amusement park, more of a slightly upper class holiday camp in the forest. it has a huge swimming pool, shopping area, restaurants, fitness center and all sorts of sport facilities all under one roof, so the fire was massive! it is called 'center parcs'. here is a link if you want to find out more, they are great places:
and here is what the BBC news had to make of it (with pictures!): http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/uk/england/newsid_1910000/1910618.stm
sad to see that place go, it is a great holiday. there are 2 other similar parks in the UK though!

kind of, but not really. imagine everything you could get in a really nice holiday park/fitness center/spa. they are quite hard to describe really to anyone who hasnt been there. have a look at this page, and look at some of the things there:

just to add, it isnt like a day visit place. you can either stay there a week, 5 days, or 2 days. every family has their own little villa out in the woods somewhere. and you arent allowed to drive your car around the village. you have to walk or ride your bike. its a really cool place, and really relaxing.
they could add a nice CCI terrain coaster into some of the woodland though!
