Review of Superman - Ultimate Flight

I had the opportunity to ride S:UF today during SFOG's Media day. I rode S:UF 7x. 4x in back, 2x in the middle and 1x in the front. Overall there realy is not a bad seat in the house but I prefered some seats over others.

Up front you get the best feeling of flight but I preferred the very back for the best positive G's in the pretzel loop, which by the way is awesome. The pretzel loop pulls some of the best positive G's I have ever experienced.

The only problem I had with the ride was the loading procedure which is very very slow. They were operating 2 trains with both sides of the station open but both trains were frequently in the station at the same time trying to load. The only good thing is that with 2 stations it does load faster than it would with just one station.

Overall I have to say this is a great ride and I encourage everybody to visit SFOG and ride S:UF.

How are the seats, and is there an on-ride photo kiosk?

"Enjoy your record-breaking ride on Millennium Force"

i would expect this ride to suffer some of the same type of breakdowns that air has been suffering. these mainly consisted of the computer system not thinking that some of the restraints were locked, even though they were. If these technical hitches do also hit this ride, i would expect 4 hour Qs like air has been having recently!
It frequently had the problem with the computer system thinking that the seats where unlocked when they were in fact locked. It even had a problem lifting the coaster into flying position. They attempted like 4 lifts while working on it untill they finally got it into the air.

I found the seats to be very comfortable. I love the restraints B&M designed. They are very effective at holding you in without being too intrusive. Just for reference I am only 5'4" tall and usually don't have a problem with most types of restraints so maybe somebody else had problems I couldn't feel.

just to also let you know, several larger size people have been turned away from air, so make sure you use the test seat outside the ride before Qing.

A B&M having problem...no way.

What are you talking about? I understand if this ride has problems because it is a newly designed train but I haven't really heard of other B&Ms haveing problems.

What am I talking about? Before the ride was even built many people (not specifically you) were comparing it to the Dutchman and basically saying B&M are perfect. I remember reading "B&M flyers will open ontime and not break down blah blah blah"

Also, all B&M's and all rides have problems once in awhile. They're machines and are prone to breakdown once in awhile.

Well the lifting up and then not working is because of the computer constantly telling the train seats arent locked. On Media Day this was a problem. On opening day though, i dont recall seeing this happen once. Except for a breakdown at the end of the day, S:UF ran almost flawlessly the whole day saturday. I hear Sunday was a different story though.

O, and i dont know about air but at S:UF they easily fix the problem by just rechecking the restraints.

Yeah... like when passengers get hit by geese :-D
