2001: One Heck of a year for Califronia!

I think looking back on the year 2001, now that all the CA parks open, I think we should look back on probibly the single best coaster year for any state ever! First up North,

PGA, yet for the 4th straight year PGA adds a coaster, Pyscho Mouse. They also improved thiere entry way making it much larger, repainting just about everything to, and added go kart's and a chair swing. You also gotta love the foutans in the reflection pool.

SFMW: Added V2! and A brand new show. Too bad V2 is already getting changed, but I have a hunch I will like it more.

SCBB: added a scary clown's 3d Fun House, preety good for a park that doesn't need to add anything!

Now for So cal, were the real action was

SFMM: Words can't describe getting 3 coasters, and a vertigo. It's too bad X and Deja Vu haven't been relibile enough.

DL: Ah Disneyland! BTW, the redid the Abrham Lincoln attraction and introduced 3D sound.

DCA: Wow! We got a brand new park! Defenitly the most rides in any opeing Disney park, Intamin and Disney made a beuty in Califronia Screamin', which has to be the highest capacity coaster in modern time. Sorin' over Califronia is also a brand new Disney technological feat. You also gotta love the Maliboomer, an S and S Space shot themed like one of those hammer things, were you try to hit the bell. DCA also annouced a brand new kids land, Flik's Fantasy Faire, and the new Tower of Terror!

KBF: They added Perilous Plunge, which is probibl twice the hight of all the chute the chutes out thier, the 78 degree drop is amazing as well! They also added Vertigo which is already gone, but most importanly Windjammer was torn down and burned! :)
Xcellerator was also annouced

SW: They didn't add anything but a real cool ticket deal, but they did win an election to start adding some thrilling rides, like Journy to Atlantis

Castle Park: This small park in Riverside, became a major player by adding a Vekoma Roller skater, S and S double shot, and 3d shot em' up dark ride.

So this was a year to remeber, and even though Xcellerator and the new V2 are all which will be new, I am more than happy with that after a great year in 2001!

I agree, in less the two years, California has gone from a big state with a *serious* lack of thrilling rides IMO, to one where it just seems to get better every year. Now, if we could just get some more quality wood!
