S&S Absolutely Insane ride

I've heard this ride mentioned on these boards quite a few times. However, I am not quite sure exactly what it is. Does the following quote describe it? This is from the September 2001 issue of Reader's Digest, in an artice about the TA2K.

"S&S also has a new tower ride where people are strapped into harnesses parachute-style, shot up 300 feet, then inverted for the free-fall.

"It's insane," Stan says, smiling. "I can't believe people will ride it!"

Does any park currently have one of these (this includes getting one during the off-season)?

RCT hypercoaster crazy!

There were 3 (CP, SFMM, KBF). Now there is 1 (SFMM)

Its Vertigo and 3 parks did have it one does now and I don't think it is gonna reopen after the incident of the collapsing tower at Cedar Point's Vertigo. The other two were at Knott's Berry Farm and Magic Mountain. The One at MM is still there but I don't think it has operated since the afformentioned incident.

SFMM's Thrill Shot isn't currently operating but it is scheduled to be patched with the fix. Anyone know when?

Well, SFMM has the only one that will continue to operate. The only other park that I know is getting one is SFGAdv, which won't open until summer sometime.
