Son of Beast: Channel 12 News Story is False

Did any of you watch the CBS affiliate station, channel 12 news story on the SOB? They were saying that PKI was to announce if SOB was going to open this Friday for the season.

Where are these news sources coming from? PKI won't open SOB until all testing and safety inspections pass. The park isn't that stupid. The testing and inspections haven't even started. They are laying and laminating the track right now. The media (no offense, Jeff)is really getting annoying with all these "false" news. I think PKI will open SOB on the 29th instead. Any input on this topic?

Remember this is a global medium... the television market that "channel 12" appears in is helpful.

Remember that this Friday (4/14) is the official opening day for PKI, aka SOB's original opening date. That news report is probably going off of really old info.

Also, when does the park open and when does SOB open? For real.

To answer Probie's question, channel 12 is in Cincinnati, Ohio. and for Craig and the rest of you PKI opens tommorrow, Friday, at 5pm. and SOB is not scheduled to open on April 29th. I'm certain about that. Sory for the confusion. Actually I'm confused. (ha ha ha):)

I wanted to post this a couple of days ago, but I happened to not remember my password (I'm such a genius). It turns out that SOB is hoping for an April 21 or 22nd opening date. I heard this on our local Fox news affiliate. The season pass holders' sneak preview isn't supposed to change though. I went to the park yesterday and what's really cool is that Top Gun comes reeeeeally close to SOB. I mean REEEEEALLY close. You can also get a good view of the ride and it's loop from the Adventure Express lift hill. So very cool. *** This post was edited by CoZmO on 4/16/2000. ***

I would really like to see it open this weekend. After my trip to Kennywood, the next two weekends are going to be tough!

The orignal preview of SOB that was scheduled for 09 April 2000 for Paw Print season pass holders was cancelled. Instead, they are going to do two midweek evening special events. That, of course, is fine for local folks but leaves the rest of us standing in line on the weekends.

I have been in regular contact with the PR department at PKI. They still do not know when SOB will be open. They usually answer my question by saying "we hope it will be..."
