tlc show yesterday 3/18

my friend said he watched the tail end of "ultimate ten" show about rollercoasters, parks, etc. what was it like if anyone saw it? it was eastern standard time around 6-7 pm.

It was just about the top ten parks. I prefer other shows, but that one does have some nice, very rarely seen clips of parks and coasters.

I did. I was the one who originally posted that the Euro Coaster Kings show was on.

I didn't like it. It was pretty bad. I haven't been on any of those coasters, but Pepsi Max: The Big One, from what I've heard is pretty rough, and where was Katun? Italy is in Europe!

I hate that commentator! He is the worst because he talks really stupid. Listen to his voice and you'll no what I mean. He says alot of stupid sayings too.

Yeah, the commentator is awful. I like when he says "These riders give Riddler's Revenge a standing ovation." Pretty corny in my opinion.

There were several things said in those shows on the TC that were quite funny.

The first was that Dragon Kahn has what they called a "Super Corkscrew". I've never heard of that before.

Another good one was during the Sea World show that said FL is home to WDW, Universal, SIX FLAGS ADVENTURE, and Sea World. Whay would they say there is a SF park in FL? That was really bad on their part.

I dont understand what shows are you talking about? I had no clue these shows were even on. does anyone know when they will be back on?

The show was on last year but I couldn't find my recording of it. Luckily I actually labled it this time. =D

You can hear the laughter, you can hear the mighty roar. From the brickyard down in Indy to the white Chicago shore. It's a rollin', twistin', turnin' and might we both suggest. You get you fanny ridin' on the Cornball Express!

A good thing to do is go on to some place like TV Guide and when it ask for a term to search for, type in roller coaster, and it will bring up any show that has anything to do or features roller coasters(giving the exact channel and time). You can get your coaster guide for now until summer if you want. Just print out the results. Like one show that turned up was a game show that took place at the now defunct Boardwalk and Baseball Amusement Park. I don't care about the game show, but the cool shots of the classic rides and coasters during the beginning, breaks, and credits are cool to watch. You'll find everything, even series that have an episode with a coaster or theme park in it, it will bring up that perticular episode for you. If you guys don't have the time or don't have a clue what I'm talking about, then I'll try to post one of my guides later.

By the way, do you think the dominant amount of ECC have been to that park in Italy to ride Katun? If that were the case, rides like Magnum XL 200 and Pepsi Max would be of the list, becuase they actually seen the many other great coasters out there. That is why few coasters get there real recognition from things like ECC, ACE, NAPHA Ballot, and Golden Ticket Awards, a lot of this has become more of a popularity poll then coaster ranking, and the major parks usually win. It would be good for a change to see coasters up there like Tremors, Mamba, Boulder Dash, Minebender, Wildfire, Wildcat, Great Bear and almost every "Forgotten CCI" would probably be up there as well, if this was done the right way.

The Ultimate top 10 thrill rides one i ahve recorded from TLC and it has a lot of good footage of coasters and other thrill rides from all over America. Goliath made number 6.

Six Flags Marine World..... Wild Life AND Wild Rides!

I almost wanted to shoot my TV when I saw the S:TE segment on the Ultimate 10 rides show. If you saw it, I think you can understand where I'm coming from on this one. It was just bad beyond words. (Why does everyone in California think they're an actor?)

Though I couldn't agree with all of the rides in the Euro show, I did like the top two, in Nemesis & Oblivion (1) and Dragon Khan (2). Both rides that we don't nearly see enough of.

I liked the Euro show. Any show that dosn't have MF or S:UE gets a thumbs up from me, but I love the one comentator, but didn't care for the one on the Euro show as well.
