I finally received my ACE membership card!

I just wanted to say that it is worth waiting to receive the ACE membership card. I'm real proud to be an ACE member, I am really excitied about going to parks being an ACE member and meet people I don't know and might become good friends!

I plan on going to HW's SRM (this will be my first SRM). I live in southern Indiana (town named French Lick), about hour away from HW. I also plan on going to PKI on April 4th and I don't have a free PKI parking ticket. Do you think I should get a free parking ticket or not because I live about 2 hours away from PKI.

I am looking forward to meet a lot of people I don't know it should be fun! Thanks.

BTW, you can't expect to be as specific as French Lick without getting at least one mention of Larry...those who don't know, probably shouldn't...;), lol....

Welcome to ACE, Derek! You're gonna love your first SRM.

On a side note, you gotta love some of the town and park names in that part of the US. There's a great sign on the interstate just south of Cincy for Big Bone Lick State Park. We saw it on our 2001 SRM trip. 7 guys, one van....you can imagine the comments!

Sorry if I sound like a realy pain in the a@@, but it's only outta jealousy cause it is pointless for me to join ACE cause I can't get a ride to any of the events, and I can't afford to fly to more than one so the $50.00 isn't worth it.

I agree. Look at the selection of parks in Louisiana! There are some other reasons I'm not going to join ace, but I ain't gonna tell nobody (how's my redneck?).
