Strange SFOG schedule

Does anyone know why SFOG is open the second week of April (during the week) but not the third or fourth?

This is especially annoying to me, as my wife is out of town the third week and I had planned a little road trip. ;)

Actually the first week of April is. Here in Fayette County and Coweta County Spring Break goes from April 1- 5. Also, we are only about 30min away from SFOG. I wonder what SFOG is thinking?

Because both Cobb County and Atlanta City schools have Spring Break that week. SFOG is in Cobb, and touches Atlanta City Limits. That is also the schedule they use for daily operation (Memorial day to Aug. 9). The park is also closed Sat. 9/21/2002 for a private party in the middle of fall weekend operation.

Well, this is the reason why their spring break is when it is...

They need as many people as they can to work day shifts!

Since most kids who work there are in high school, and live in either Cobb or Fulton, it makes sense to time it with those two counties.
