RCT Recreation Question

Why are all the recreations, such as Nitro not built to size? Even if it's just to show it off, every time I find one it is so small, probably not even 150 ft.!

Because thats the way the game does it my real rides are made to look like the real thing but not necessarily be to spec as far as hieght length and speed

I love to make them with the more realistic specs as possible. I hate it when people make coasters that are 300ft, about only 150 ft!

Number 1. There are only 2 coasters 3-- feet tall. Number 2, there isn't enough room on the RCT maps to build 200-300 foot tall recreations. Most are out and backs, only a very few twisters, so they take up room quick. Normally you can get 2, maybe 3 hills in before hitting the edge of the map and being forced to turn prematurly. That is the main reason why most recreations are small.

Trbiggar's right. On my SFNE recreation that I'm working on, I actually made my SROS too big and have to do some fixing. I think it's because the lift hill isn't steep enough for the scale.

221' drop on SROS is more like 8000'

That is a really good answer. I wish that if RCT2 or whatever comes out, that it will feature more land to build on.
