PKI crowd question?

Never having been to a PKI opening weekend I'm wondering. What will attendence be like on Friday, April 5th, Saturday, April 6th and Sunday, April 7th at PKI? Will the second weekend be much lighter crowd wise?

The crowds will really depend on the weather. The 2000 opening weekend the park was deserted, of course SOB wasn`t open. Last year I went to the sneak peak for passholder and it was incredibly crowded because every readio station was there and had given away free tickets. However, after a very heavy forty-five minute thunderstorm passed by, the crowds lightened up considerably. I will be going to the sneak peak again this year on Thursday April 4!

I`ve ridden Son of Beast 67 times!

Yea, I went opening day 1999, freezing cold and snowing. The line for face/off still managed to be an hour and a half. It was also the only ride with a line. It was a great ride and i'd do it again. Except without the numb hands and having to go to the bathroom.

That's my BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! APRIL 5th. So if you go think of me. I know I won't be there. It's normally VERY crowded, especially if the new ride for that year is open.

FoF, the park is open to the general public on Friday April 5th. The season pass sneak peak is on Thursday Arpil 4th from 5 to 10pm. Don`t count on the season pass preview haveing light crowds. Look at my above post I was there last year and the line for 7th Portal was nearly a thirty minute wait. (that`s after the thunderstorm)

30 minutes isn't that bad though. In the summer I saw it get up to an hour and a half on a week day. I would count on short lines not many people will be able to go because of school the next day

I think I'll be going the 5th and the 6th. Hopefully the crowds wont be to horrible. I went a few days after opening last year and the longest wait was for Face Off and FoF and those were only a half hour.

Last year, I went during the sneak peak (Friday April 6th) and the park was fairly crowded. I then went back up on Sunday April 8yh and the park was empty and the weather was better than it was on Friday. Crowds usually depend on the weather. However, Sundays in the spring tend to be less crowded especially towards the end of the evening because many kids have school the next day.

Completely off subject, but is KC supposed to even open this season and should TRTR be open for Dry-Run Day? I know that neither RRR or FOF was open then last year, so I doubt about TRTR. But if KC is getting replaced by a slingshot or Absolutely Insane, then they might start taking her apart before the season begins. Anyone know???

I hope KC isn't replacing by a slingshot or Absolutely Insane. Even though I'd love to have em theres and 99% chance they'd cost money. And PKI already has too many stuff that costs extra!
