Is Six Flags moving Down-Under??

After a chat with a reliable source at Australia's Movie World, it appears that Six Flags is planning to buy the three super parks in Australia. This is WB Movie World, Wet'n'Wild Water Park, and Seaworld Australia. These parks fit in with the Six Flags type of parks. Anyone else got any info or opions on this??

Are you talking about 3 seperate amusement parks, or something like and amusement park, waterpark, and Seaworld all next door to each other a la SFWoA?

The 3 parks are all owned by the one group and are very close to each other. WB Movie World and Wet'n'Wild Water Park are next door to each other and then SeaWorld is about 10 to 15 mins drive away. Also Dreamworld is only 5 mins closer to Brisbane city than WBMW. All the parks on the Coast are very close to each other.

I was under the impression that Six Flags already had a large stake in Movie World. I could be wrong.

Could be, the log flume at WBMW Madrid is a clone of WWW & SF has a small stake in that park. Therefore MW should get a clone of their Superman. :)

I sure hope this happens & results in a coaster boom.

Six Flags own the overseas WBMW but not the Aussie one. It is jointly owned by Warner International and Village Roadshow Australia. I just hope that they own it soon....dying for a new thrill.
