B&M consecutive inversions

Any particular reason why there are none with, say 2 Loops or Flat Spins in a row? Maybe they didn't want to copy Arrow.

I'm just saying this as Dreamworld doesn't want to get rid of Thunderbolt's signature flame-painted double loops. They could get B&M to design a Floorless with double loops & paint the same.

There was a thread that designing coasters is not like in NL or RCT, it is all maths, physics & CAD. Unless you're a ride designer like John Wardley & sketch out possible layouts & inversions.

Can a park really ask for a specific layout? Say a park wants B&M to build a coaster with double loops, will they do that or is it against their unofficial rule of no consecutive identical elements? Or do they say, "I've got $15million, build be the best damn layout you have in mind." Be interesting if if they ask, for example, in the following order, Cobra Roll, Zero-G Roll, Immelman, Interlockers & Vertical Loop or similar to Arrow's. In other words, a totally different layout (Hulk comes to mind) from their usual (not that there is anything wrong with this, it just a bit repetitive after all.)

Just wanted to off load these thoughts. :)

Probably the park tells them what tehy want, and that's what they get, buecause they're the ones footing the bill.  B+M, or any designer, would probably give sugestions to what would go well together, but the park probably has the final say on the design of the coaster.

I fa park wanted double loops or corkscrews or whatever, B&M would build it.  Its not like B&M behaves like the Easter Rabbit, magically dropping whatever coasters it wants into parks.

and, unlike the Easter Bunny, they don't make you search for the good ones!

Well, I'm sure that B&M suggests layouts in one way or another.  Otherwise, why else would so many B&M's have so many similar layouts?

That is a good point. Why are rides like Medusa West and Kraken identical up to the cobra roll/sea serpent?

Well, Mr. Stengal might have something to do with that.

Have you ever considered that maybe it's not the park that's the problem, but YOU?

Or perhaps the parks know what already works...so they work with B&M to create the best ride for the space they have.  Hence you get a lot of rides with similar inversion orders.  If you look at it though, the layouts for something like the B&M Medusa's, the layouts are really not similar at all, just the inversion order.

The park usually tells the designer or company what they want, number of inversions, thrill factor, budget limits, etc. and the designer comes up with a layout. The designer is given land prints to see what they have to work with terrain wise. The park is shown at least 2-3 designs and they choose the one they want. In some cases, the park gets designs from numerous companies and designers.. CF and SF are notorious for doing this.

Just pointing out that Riddler's Revenge has back to back Dive Loops. One goes left and the other goes right, but they are one right after the other.

I am sure B&M would create whatever the park wants, but also throw in their own 2¢ to make it their own creation.
