Flashback Or Black Widow

Was it a good move to remove black widow for flashback.  I have never ridden black widow and was wondering if you thought it was a good idea replacing it.

I would also love to know who has ridden both and which one was better.....

I've have ridden both. I definatly think it was a good decision to remove it for Flashback. The ride could be rough and down-time was horrible. Almost the whole '99 season it was down. I think Flashback was also a good decision because it was something new to ride. What good is a huge chunk of medal taking up valuable ride space? Check out RCDB to see where it is now. Very amusing. Don't worry fellas, you didn't miss out on much.

I don't know...I have never ridden flashback but I have ridden boomerang at GE. I have fond memories have crying down the long stairs of Black Widow with my brother and father. That was the good old days before I realized what fun coasters are. I must say that I was not surprised about them replacing it with Flashback. Does anyone have any old Riverside Pics?

You know I was thinking the same thing; that it took up no room. But, keep in mind it only ran like twice in '99. It was a waste of whatever space it took up. The link should work.

I liked it because it was the first backwards loop I've ever been through.  I think it should've stayed because of the backwards launch.  That was cool.  They should've kept it and added Flashback too.  I've never ridden a Boomerang before until this one.  Plus, there is only one more Boomerang in New England and that's at Lake Compounce.  They should've kept Black Widow and added Flashback.
