Unfair 2002 year

Who lives by a park that isn't getting anything good for 2002?  I live by Six Flags St.Louis and all we are getting is a Scooby Doo ride.  I think SFOG neede a new ride because it was one of the first Six Flags parks.  I wish  that Six Flags St. Louis should of got a Hyper this year.  Hopefully next year.

I wouldn't be too dissapointed Stuntman, you got Boss in 2000 and I think Mr. Freeze is getting lapbars for this year so it should feel like a totally new coaster.

Some people... it isn't about the new all the time. Enjoy what you have, and be glad you have it. Some parks don't get new things for years at a time, where others get them more often, which will spoil people. Too bad those spoiled people look at it as "We don't have anything new this year!" other than "Look at all we have this year!"

I agree - its going to be tough for all these little kiddies who have just become interested in parks and coasters in the past several years to understand that these are businesses and parks have to do what makes business sense and building a new ride or rides every year or every other year is not feasible in most cases.  The last few years have been great for coaster fans, but you can't expect your local park to be building every year.  Try taking a trip to another more distant park if you want to try something new.  Even if it's not new this year, it will be new to you! :)

Go ride Kennywood's Jack Rabbit, the C.I. Cyclone, the Riverside Cyclone, or a host of others. They don't have to be new to be good.

I liken it to sports, baseball especially. Ever wonder why your favorite ball players seem to always wind up playing for the Yankees, Mets, Dodgers, Indians and once again, the Yankees? Higher market teams are allowed more spending money, pure and simple. I won't go any deeper than that because I know it's a reach, but if you apply that logic to amusement parks, it may make more sense than, "oh they ignored my park again".
-----------------
Have you ever considered that maybe it's not the park that's the problem, but YOU?

Well Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain might be cool.  Well at least compaired to what it once was.

You can hear the laughter, you can hear the mighty roar. From the brickyard down in Indy to the white Chicago shore. It's a rollin', twistin', turnin' and might we both suggest. You get you fanny ridin' on the Cornball Express!

When I was a kid in 12 years Pontchartrain Beach got a mouse. a minature golf course,  a restaurant, and a couple of flats.

In the last five years, SFA has gotten 6 coasters and other improvements.  I dont' feel like I can complain if they don't get anything major this year.

With the down turn in the economy, and possibly saturation in some markets, we have to expect that new construction is going to slow down.

I'm glad that SFMW is fixing V2. Even if it's changed for the worst it is still like a new coaster.

SFMYManiac87.  What are they doing to V2?  I heard of some announcement coming soon, but never heard the details.  I can't find anything on their site either.

I am so nervous because SFMW is my homepark and I would be devistated if they did something horrible to V2. On the other hand they might do something wonderful, and we all might be in for a shocking suprise.

I'm sorry, but there's really little sense in whining about not getting anything new.  Be thankful you even have a park, that it's in business, and that you can afford to go.
