The Buckeye Coaster Trip

I'm planning on going to Cedar Point and Six Flags Ohio in 3 days sometime in late July. Right now I am deciding which park to do first. I live in Cincinnati. Do any of you have an idea of which I can go first? Also, how many hours and miles are the 2 parks apart? I need to now if I can do this in 3 days or if I need 4 days to do it. Some input is much needed. Thanks.

I am not trying to sound rude but if you live in Ohio shouldnt you kind of know this already? Again Beastmaster this is not to sound like a jerk. I mean, if I asked the same questions about SFGAm and lets say Kiddieland I would probably get the same response. But if you havent gone to these parks than I can see your question. On top of that being from Chicago I cant answer but actually I would also like to know since I will be visiting CP and SFO this summer.

I live 3 miles from SFO so I have a pretty good idea of the area. Under non-rushhour conditions, the commuting time between the two parks is under two hours. I have gotten to the outskirts of Detroit in 3 hours from home but I was doing 70mph the whole way. You must factor in the traffic tie-ups after you get off the interstates, especially for SFO. My recommendation, get to the parks very early and throw a frisbee in the parking lot for an hour.

I'd go to SFO first, just so you're not let down after riding MF. ;) Seriously, because of your location, you'll want to keep your indirect driving for last. Go to SFO first up I-71 to I-271, exiting Rockside Rd. (looks like I-480 west) to SR 422 and follow the signs east.

From that area, you have to do a little back-and-forth up I-271 to get to I-480 west, as there is no direct way when not on the freeway. I-480 west to a short jog on the Turnpike west, to SR 57 north. Go the long block north on SR 57 past midway mall and pickup SR 2 west. Follow the signs frome there.

Your way home is going to suck, because you're smack dab in the middle of the two freeways that'll get you home. I think (without looking at a map) that I-75 would be closer to the west. You could take state routes, but I don't know if that would be faster or just slow you down.

Chitown, I have been to Cedar Point back in 1996, but I have never been to Geauga Lake (now known SFO). When I was 9 yrs. old I went to Sea World up there too, and I saw Geauga Lake, but my parents didn't want to go to it. I'm 25 years old now, but back then I wasn't coaster ready.
That's why I dont know anything about SFO. Jeff, I do know what you are talking about. Thanks guys for answering my question.
