This was by far the best coaster summer for my wife and I. We hope to 2001 even better.
Six Flags Great America – Our home park Slow food lines and prices too high. Never been impressed with atmosphere. However, the rides are great. Viper & B:TR- better than ever. American Eagle could use some work.
Holiday World Great example of “if you build it, they will come.” Loved the park; wonderful atmosphere; good ride ops; and free pop to boot. Add to that, 2 high-class coasters: Raven and Legend. Must rides.
Cedar Point MF is the ride of the year / millennium and Raptor is our second favorite inverted (SFGAm B:TR is #1). Resort on the beach is excellent but the park atmosphere is average.
Six Flags Ohio Hated the park; rides OK. However, we had just come from CP (same day) and SFO paled in comparison. B:KF is good. Villain & S:UE are OK. Too many rides closed day we were there. Lines VERY long for all rides.
Kennywood Excellent atmosphere. Great family style park. Very disappointed in Thunderbolt and SP. Racer and Jack Rabbit were great and saved our trip. Food was good and workers very friendly.
Michigan’s Adventure Very small park with below average food that was too expensive. But, Shivering Timbers is an awesome ride - the airtime god of coasters. If you haven’t ridden ST – get your butt there!
Valleyfair! A very nice, clean park. Five good coasters with Wild Thing and Excalibur as our two favorites. Downside to this park was the lack of attention by ride-ops who didn’t seem to care.
PKI We had our greatest coaster weekend of the summer, perhaps ever, here on Oct. 14/15. Great weather, good park atmosphere and friendly workers. They treat ACE members great. The Beast at night was a religious experience for us. And SoB was better than we had heard and expected.
