Gadv Announcement?

It's almost Feb1st! Anyone know how to find out Exactly when the announcement will be?

if i remember correctly, Nitro was not announced till April 1st i believe.

No, Nitro was announced Feb 1st!

But are they really announcing 2morrow this year? I have been waiting and waiting! If they are building a new coaster, I don't see how they could build it before opening day...2 months? And without any track sitings, yet?

i doubt they are getting a coaster this season. i hope they fix the flat ride problem and clean up the park.

I am crazy excited

Excited for what? Six Flags is cutting spending and SFGAdv just got a huge B&M last year. Then they put lapbars on Chiller. I don't think they will be getting anything this year other than minor improvements. If they do get a major attraction I will be really surprised. From what I hear, the park needs to fix up what they have before they add anymore. I keep hearing people talk about GAdv getting a new coaster for 2002. I don't see it happening.

If this is your homepark and you're NOT excited about getting a brand new Chiller, something's wrong...now if they'd do something about Rolling Thunder, Bouncing Chunder, Rotting Timber, Screech and Blunder, whatever....that WOULD be the best thing the park could EVER do...

Actually, SFGAdv should be getting two "new" coasters in 2002:  lab bars on the other side of BRTC and lots of new wood on Rolling Thunder.  With the new bars and some much-needed TLC both will feel like new again!

I do,  batman the chiller will be a new experiance, and also viper will be up and running

I guess it will be on Valintines day. As a gift to all the coaster lovers. I emailed them and they said they will be announcing soon!

What email address did you use?I've been thinking about emailing SFA to find out when their announcement will be but the only email address on the official site is for group sales  information.I know this question is a little off topic but it would be helpfull to have this information thanks.

Big announcement, the biggest thing you'll be getting this year is Dolphin Discovery.  No Acrophobia either.  Got that info from Amusement Today as well, tells Six Flags major investments this year.  Read it some time.

I have been informed by numerous park personnel that Six Flags Great Adventure will not be making a "formal" announcement this year (No other Six Flags park has either), but instead will be mailing a disk to all media regarding their 2002 season.

rollergator and Antuan, I think you misunderstood me. I was saying why would he be excited for the announcement because I don't think they are going to announce any new coasters. My homepark isn't SFGAdv, but I think people should be excited for Chiller. However, since they are getting lapbars on Chiller and they just got Nitro, I don't think they are going to get anything. I could be wrong, stranger things have happened. But, I wouldn't get your hopes up. Be happy with 3 B&M's, lapbars on Chiller, and the amazing flatrides you have. That's alot more than most parks have.

Their gettin lap bars on batmans side of chiller viper will be back up and rolling thunder will be fixed up
