Indoor amusement parks.

Are there any operating indoor amusement parks left besides Camp Snoopy at Mall of America? I remember when I was growing up they had an indoor park called Old Chicago in the suburbs. I went twice and had alot of fun. It only lasted 4 years which kind of surprised me because I live in a cold climate. They had 2 coasters, a bunch of kiddie and carnival rides, a haunted house and shops that circled the park. If you have been to one or heard of these parks share your thoughts on them. I don't know about in the US, but I went to one 3 years ago in quebec city, canada. It was okay, it had 2 coasters, some chance and huss rides, and carneval type rides.

There is an indoor park in Niagara Falls, Canada. It is under the Skylon Tower. No coasters, but they have a good dark ride, bumper cars, a merry-go0round, and lots of games.

Here in Cleveland we have the temporary "IX Indoor Amusement Park" in the IX Center (International Expositions Center). The building is a huge retired tank factory next to the airport with an incredibly high ceiling. It generally runs the month of April. Several years ago, they installed a huge permanent ferris wheel in the center of it, poking through the ceiling in to a glass enclosure that allows you to see the airport, downtown Cleveland, etc.

The IX Indoor Amusement Park is apparently very popular. It comes every year and big bucks are spent on advertising. This year they claim to have a some sort of water ride, or shoot-to-chute type ride. They usually have some exciting stuff there.

Don't forget about the adventuredome in Las Vegas (http://www.adventuredome.com/).

How can you people forget Galaxyland at the West Edmonton mall. At Galaxyland there is one coaster the Mindbender.

Where I live the only indoor amusement park in Cincinnati is the Forest Fair Mall. I live about 10 minutes from there. They don't have a rollercoaster, but they have a Ferris Wheel as high as the Beastie at BKI. They also have bumper cars, a merry-go-round, mini-golf,and some flat rides. Let's not forget the arcade. The mall was in a fun park guide book, though.

I'm heading to the IX Indoor Carnival tomorrow (mostly to see Mick Foley of the WWF), and will check out the "more rides than ever before".... a tag line they've been using every season even though a ride or two always seems to be missing. This year- they are supposed to have a Cliff Hanger (by Dartron) which is essentially a Paratrooper with FlyAway cars, and a ride called the Hi-Jacker, which from its description on the IX website sounds like a portable SpaceShot of some sort.

Villain, I made a post regarding Mick Foley doing a cross country theme park tour. The only response I got was from Jeff making a joke about wrestling. Jeff, this isnt to insult you but I figured there would be coaster fanatics that like wrestling also. Villain , after you visit and see him let me know what other parks he plans on visiting this summer. He seems to be a coaster fanatic so it would be cool to ride with him.
