cause dont they go to church on that weekend, espically the sunday for church, since MLK fought for them?
Sure they do. 'They' all get out of 'their' beds at about the same time, too. 'They' all know each other and 'they' all call each other up and decide together when 'they' are going to SFMM.
You know why? Because 'they' are not individuals. 'They' are all nameless and faceless and aren't even people in the minds of the lost, the backwards, the ignorant and those whose massive inferiority complexes render them culturally archaic and effete.
'They' don't have to be black. 'They' can be Hispanic, American Indian, Asian, Middle Eastern (especially popular these days) or even Caucasian....anybody who doesn't look just like you.
Here's a thought...why don't you advantage take MLK day to pull your head from the ethnocentric sand? Try hanging out with one of 'them' at your local theme park this weekend. Pick a 'them' of any race you consider a 'them' and try being friendly. Get to know that person until they have a name, a face and are no longer merely 'them'.
This is exactly what moved enlightened people of all races--people commonly called Whites, Blacks, Jews, American Indians and more--to march and protest years ago....a goal of equity regardless of race which obviously has yet to be reached.

What I said applies to just about everybody--ethnic minorities included. Jews who refer to blacks as 'them' are just as culturally ignorant as blacks who call Jews or whites 'them'. Someone who labels some poor Muslim woman a terrorist because she chooses to cover her head to worship is as hideous as someone persecuting an yarmulke-wearing Orthodox or Hasidic Jew.
Try my suggestion this weekend, huh? Break down the wall of ignorance one brick at a time...
