VertiGo collapses?!?

Word over on Guide to the Point is that one of the VertiGo towers collapsed just a couple hours ago!  The news was supposedly aired on Toledo 11... did anybody see this?  This is terrible if it's true!

The reports were 65 feet it doesnt seem to me that WT is 65 feet up yet.  Of course all this is second hand info, I am watching toledo tv now and have not saw anything, have to watch 36 at 10 and see if they have anyhting on the news.

I think the one tower of Wicked Twister is 65 feet, the other one isn't.

Oh man, if this is true, wait till i tell my family that that insane ride i rode collapsed.

There is no activity going on now on the webcam, if there were, we would see stills of car lights and such.

Secondly, I watched the WT webcam several times this afternoon, and it appears as though everything was installed properly.

Lets wait for one of the mods to get on here before we start speculating more stuff.

I would imagine they would have turned the webcams off if something happened.

Vertigo is the S and S totally insane ride that consists of three towers with a launch vehicle in the middle connected to giant cables and launched with air.

Mike, Vertigo is a ride in Challenge Park with has two towers. A car is suspended with 2 bungee cables from the top (like a sky coaster) and a triangular shaped car that holds 9 is at the bottom. The car is then shot up by compressed air and bounces before being lowered. At least it's something like that.

I'm pretty sure a part of the structure of SoB colapsed in a windstorm...
