Coasters and School

Do coasters ever interfere with your school work? I find myself daydreaming about X, and today I got an assignment back where one of the things was we were supposed to identify modifiers in a sentence. One of the sentences was "The Beast is the longest roller coaster in the world". I got it back and my teacher had marked me wrong. At first I disagreed, but then noticed that I had crossed out the sentence and written "Not true. Steel Dragon 2000 is". How pathetic is that? Anyone else have sxperiences like that?

Yeah I find the same thing happening to me. A lot of the time you can find drawn real life or mine own creations on the back of work sheet's etc. In science class when I ask a guestion I might use a coaster as an example.

Sadly I get made fun of for this stuff!

In high school (1993) I did a presentation on coasters to the class, including showing a video of B:TR, which I would ride that summer.  People were really interested, and some of the girls thought I was really "brave."  ;)

In physics we were using foam tubing to make our own coasters, it was pretty sweet. I have leared that day dreaming about rides isnt good....u learn that when u get ur report card

I'm always day dreaming in school about coasters and find myself drawing desings of coasters(or trying to).  Some people think it is a pathetic hobbie, I THINK NOT!!!

Ive never had anything like that happen lol but Ive done alot with coasters in school.

Last year for my senior project in Business, Math and Physics, I did a HUGE rollercoaster project. I wrote a 15 page paper explaining everything from when the first idea for a coaster came about, how coasters worked, what gforces were and there affects on the human body and so on. I also was able to arrange a class trip to Six Flags New England at the end of the year where my class got to go to the park, and id explain a few things, then we rode the coasters and had a great time :) After the trip, I took the video footage which I recorded that day and editted it (6 hours of footage turned into about 15 mins total after being editted) Then I presented in infront of my class, and school supervisors. It was a great project!

On the top of a worksheet I turned in last week, I accidentaly wrote my email address instead of my name, then my coasterbuzz password for the date no lie! I didnt get to much sleep the night before that.

I don't have problems with it interfering with college. In fact the trips I take during the semester help me to get away from the pressures of school.

I can relate there.  Sometimes I find it relaxing to go down to Knotts and catch a couple rides on Ghostrider, Monte, Supreme Scream.  You know, its stress relief!
