layouts...your fave?

what is the greatest style of layouts? the power of the beast, Terrain like Boulder dash, the out and back goodness of ST, The Force's overbanked gigatwister (kinda), the convoluted joker's jinx, or the trilogy ride of SD 2000

layout only, nothing having to do with SD2000's horrible trains

(Those were examples, if it isnt one of those, say so, or even describe your own layout.

Millennium Force

Once people get over the trains, (Intamin had to spoil us...) they should realize that SD2000 has the PERFECT layout for a giga. Simply put, it has everything. 3 MONSTROUS hills, including a great curving drop, an inclined helicie section followed by a fast, low broad turn through the supports, steep, jolting midcourse drop, and can you say 8 camelbacks? I know I can...

Plus, IN MY OPINION, the 1:45 lift hill ALONE puts it high above Millennium Force.

I think that Steel Dragon 2000 has an awesome layout, however those overbanked turns on Millennium Force were pretty cool.

I think that if Steel Dragon 2000 had Milennium Force's overbanks, trains, and first drop angle, it would be the perfect coaster. That's my two cents.

Before I get started must I please point out that it is HELIXES.

I like Millennium Force's and Boss' layout the best.

Actually, helixes or helices is correct http://www.dictionary.com/cgi-bin/dict.pl?term=helix

That being said, I really love twisters and cyclones (like Viper (SFGAm) Roar (SFA) and to a lesser extent Raging Bull).

I think Raging Bull has a great layout, combining speed and twisting in and out of its structure. Being a B&M with those open-sided trains and seats that lift your feet off the ground makes it even better. Put the drop at least 75 feet higher and the angle of decent a bit steeper, as well as making it longer by enlarging every aspect of the BuLL. And I would have to say that this ride would have to rival SD2000 & Millennium Force.

I personally think that Apollo's Chariot ans S:ROS have the best layouts of any coasters that I have ever ridden. Apollo features some extreme positive g's, something rare on most B&M's, and S:ROS(the SFA one) is, well, Superman, plus the pitch black setting at night.

Although people may not like the coaster, I think Outer Limits has an amazing layout. You just gotta love it. Dueling Dragons has apretty darn sweet layout too. For wood, the Mean Streak has a layout that looks good, but doesn't ride well. I gotta go with the goodness of 10+ airtime producing drops of Shivering Timbers plus two amazing lateral turns.

I forgot to mention DD, i also think Lightning racers layout is pretty cool...

As for The improvement to SD2000, i would not only add overbanks, intamin trains, and a steep drop, i would move it to america

I love the Mantis layout with the Spaghetti-Bowl ending, and the Giant-Loop begining.

I have to agree with Craig the coaster freak--Shivering Timbers has the best wood layout while Dueling Dragons is the best steel layout, IMHO.

SD2000 layout once again is just like all the other Morgan Hypers, just with a Fancy turn around. I don't think it was thought about to much but oh well. I like Raptors Layout, very compact

Raptor is quite compact if you think of how small of a footprint the layout takes up.

Ever heard of Batman???? Raptor is a monster compared to Batman. Actually Mantis takes up less space then Raptor even though Mantis is bigger.

I think that Raven has a very simple but awesome layout as well as the Legend. Two great coasters at a tiny park.
