AOL strikes again!

Number one, AOL sucks.

Try getting to the site using Internet Explorer if you're not. It's much better than the built-in AOL browser. It sounds like AOL saved it as it's own type of file, and because I havn't used AOL since version 3.0, I don't know how to fix it. If downloading it through MSIE doesn't work, IM me and I'll try to help you then. My AIM SN is in my profile.

I'm assuming you're using Windows right?

If it's saving as an AOL file format, you could try this, although I don't usually recommend doing this.
Rename the file, but only change the file extension to .EXE . Any file that Windows uses to open a program ends with .EXE . That could make it work...but other than that, I have no other ideas that come to mind. Hope that helps a bit. If I think of anything else, I'll post it.
