2002 on X

Ive heard conflicting reports and would like to know if you can use 2002 season passes on X preview days.

If you have used one yourself that would be great to know, or please try and post it here if it worked.

ive never ridden X, but i think the whole preview for pass holders was ONLY for 2001, only because they used X for advertising on their 2001 passes.  and since X wont open (to the public) till 2002, this is their way of apologising for the delay.  makes hella lot of sense to me

well if you already paid $90 bucks for a 2002 season pass it dosent seem fair to have to wait for the half day lines itll have when it opens to the public.

The only difference between the 2001 passes and the 2002 passes are the year marked on them.  Otherwise they look identical and the guards stationed at the bridge are ONLY looking to see that you have A pass.  I know of people who have used 2002 SFMM passes, 2001 SFMW passes, 2001 SFGAm passes, and I spoke to three kids from Utah who had NO pass...they just walked right past the guards!  LOL!

Apparently, they're looking for two things: "Six Flags" and "2001". I have yet to see them turn away *anyone* with a pass. And that includes people with 2002 SFMM passes.

Well, when I passed the guards, they looked at my pass pretty carefully.  They even looked at me a couple times to make sure I was the one on the pass.  I don't think you are getting in there without a 2001 MM pass.  You can try though.  Maybe the other workers don't take their job that seriously. 

To clear a few things up, I went on the 26th, 27th, and 28th and got in all four out of four times at least once each day with my 2001 SFMW pass.  I was never turned down or even held up.  About passing by the guards, yeah, it happened quite a bit.  People just walked through the exit side of the bridge while the employees were busy checking passes.  Oh, and, each time I went onto the ride there were different employees checking passes.
