New Water Park For Charlotte?

As I was searching for a current event for school at charlotte.com, I found this...

"Ongoing projects range from a convention hotel at Stonewall and College streets to a water park off West Trade Street."

There was talk of having a Tivoli Gardens type park uptown at one point.  I haven't heard anymore about it.  I think it was to go near where the much discussed new arena for the Hornets was suppose to go.  (Bye Bugs!)  One of the drawings showed a coaster in it!

This thing about the water park is news to me too.  Personally, I can't see a water park up town.  I wonder if they meant like fountains, etc?

I've been searching for some parks ( Rollercoaster Tycoon) for about a month but still can't find them.
I need a recreation of Heide Park in germany (Collosos), SFGAdv but the 2001 version with Nitro, Holiday World with Raven and Legend and last but not least I would really appreciate it if everyone could send me his/her favourite park.

Up until a few years ago, I lived in Asheville, and the highway system connecting Charlotte to other cities(US74 improvements, et cetra) has greatly improved in the last five or so years. Now, driving to Charlotte is a much shorter trip & an easier drive than it had been. Now, the talk here in Wilmington is an Amtrak rail from the coast directly to Charlotte. I'd hop the train to go to Charlotte & ride more coasters, much faster than the driving routes! Much like people will come to our beaches like never before. Anyways, I remember hearing about different people putting together projects in the area, my favorite I heard was something maybe a little closer to Greenville, SC. There was the guy from the Panthers(?) that wanted to build a new Charlotte park. It's a great area, & IMO has grown at a good kind of rate.

A water park in Uptown Charlotte sounds a little odd, though. There was Lakeside(?), Charlotte's lost electric park(or the only one I've heard about). Have no idea where in town it was.
