Lost boats

Something that keeps yanking my chain; sometimes when I make boat hires, I dont always put guide rails on them. Like in the Leafy lake scenario, I have several coasters built over the water and wanted to give the peeps a chance to explore at their lesiure. But sure enough, someone wanders off too far and gets lost. Besides using the pause trick and closing the ride, is there any way to retrive the lost vessel? Just wondering.

well as I'm sure you know, you always need to make sure that the boats can get from the front of the station to the back, but otherwise there's not much you can do.
If there are a bunch of them jammed in one place then I usually block off that place somehow or widen it to where they need to go. But as far as 1 wandering off, I usually just ignore that.
