Universal's new Apollo 13 coaster

Have people seen the schematics for the ride on thrillnetwork.com? The rumor of a coaster at Universal Studios in Orlando has been going on for a while but now it has some validity. Supposively, it might be Intamin that is designing the ride but it is still not certain. It looks like a pretty radical layout, but what is going to make it unique is the theming and the fact that the vehicle will be enclosed.
Thrillnetwork has always annoyed me (to say the least) but this is downright dumb.  Someone posted those patents here I believe like 6 months ago.  Thrillnetwork discovers patents and assumes that it is a coaster going to be built, but actually, it is what it says: a patent.  This ride could happen in 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, or no years, most likely the latter.  Oh, and I love how they claim that the patents are 'their' copyrighted material :P

This rumor has been on plenty of other sites such as screamscape. I think it might be true, but you entitled to your own opinion. Yes it is a patent which means there is at least a chance that we might see this design in a few years. A lot of the info coincides with what could be a Apollo 13 coaster, but you can be skeptical, just do not completely dismiss it.

Oh don't worry I am not dismissing it I think it is very possible and a unique idea, but I found it funny (and annoying) how they find the patents and 'announce' that it is IOA's new coaster.

My thoughts exactly.  You know I was thinking of posting over there and telling them that I also made there so called "discovery", and so did many others over here, except we did it months ago.  And I really don't think it's legal for them to claim that material as their own, as it is previously copywrited by the US Patent Office.  The site is basically a rip off of some other [cough] site (if you notice, they don't post the source of most of their information)... Except for their multimedia coaster videos (specifically "Pandoras Box", and the Oblivion and Nemisis videos) which happen to be pretty phenomenal with high bandwith.
