Triple Racers

Are there racing/duling coasters that feature 3 trcks on which seperate trains run on?

I believe Steeplechase at Blackpool Pleasure Beach Runs 3 or 4 tracks.  I'm not entirely sure, but check RCDB.

I believe that CCI built a racing coaster somewhere in Europe that also has a junior coaster that does run right alonside the racer for a stretch.  If timed right three trains could race on that portion.

There could be a lot of possiblities for a triple racer/dueler Think of 3 track near misses! *drool*

Yep, Steeplechase has 3 tracks. It doesn't run 'trains' though; you ride on horses that seat two...quite an experience actually.

John Wardley's Stampida was built when Tussaud's owned Port Aventura Theme Park in Spain.  It is a triple racing CCI and is superb - I wish John Wardley was given the opportunity to design more major rides.

His biggest wish is to to be able to, someday, design rides like those at Island's of Adventure.

I have B&W VHS footage of a triple racing wooden coaster, from the Coastermania program aired in the UK a few years back, so it has been done, dunno where it was though.....

The coasters that Dan the Coaster Fan is talking about is the same that I had mentioned.  CCI built Stampida, a twin racer that is intertwined with Tomahawk, a junior woody.  At points the three are lined up with each other.

Stampida is the Blue and Red tracks while Tomahawk is the Green track.

Six Flags has some rights to Powerpuff Girls, because Cartoon Network is part of Time Warner, and even though SF is not part of TW anymore, they bought a long-term rights agreement from them.  So yeah SF could use them.. probably anyone else could too who has some cash money laying around.

Knotts old Soapbox Derby raced 4 at a time. I think. Anyone know for sure?
It was a steeplechase as well.

Quail: Since PPG comes on the Cartoon Network, I would assume Six Flags could use them. I know there is a "Camp Cartoon Network" in SFGAm and "PowerPuff Girls: Mojo Jojo's Revenge" sounds a lot more exciting than "Spacely Sprockets' Rockets"

A nonspin version, with big drops, in and out of the Batcave.......

Yes, Soabox Derby Racers did have 4 tracks...and I think the original Steeplechase had 6.

I recently created a quadruple racing woodie in RCT. The trains arrive back at the station simultaneously for the most part.
