Does anyone collect park maps. I do. I sent letters to every Six Flags parks, Paramount Parks, Busch Gardens parks, and Kennywood. I have already recieved many park maps. Does anyone else do this?

I know so much about roller coasters. Have any qustions just E-Mail me at agomez@afes.com

I have 2 copies of DisneyLand's map from this season.  Even though I live like 10 minutes from SFGAm, I have no maps from there....due to the fact I know the park like the back of my hand because I put in over a thousand hours there.
I've got maps collected from all the parks I've visited.  I like to collect the maps and look at them after I get back from that specific park.  It's fun.  :)  I've also got some older maps from parks around my home here in Nor Cal, as well as some old Disneyland maps from the 70's and 80's my wife had hidden.  Pretty cool stuff.  :)

Rollercoaster lovers do it in the front seat!

I collect maps from wherever I go.  If anyone needs a Hersheypark map from this past summer, let me know.  I have plenty.
I always take a map home with me from where ever I go. I have a pretty nice collection. I also collect brochures too. It's fun and they are all small to store away.

Top 5
1.) Beast 2.) Phantom's Revenge 2.) SROS (SFNE) 4.) SROS (SFDL) 5.) MF

I've got probably about 35-40 different maps, from about 25 different parks we've visited over the past 2 1/2 years...(some are same parks, different years).  It's cool to see how the parks develop over the years...the funniest ever is from Kennywood, which was basically a xerox copy of their "master"...

Yeah, my kennywood map is probably the most interesting one that I have.
An opposite of the "fine art" on the Disneyland maps. :)

Montezooma's Revenge Count: 36
Ghostrides: 24

I just started collecting them this year. I had some older ones from PKI and PKD, both from these parks opening seasons (1972 and 1974) and one from BGW for 1974 ,1976 and 1978, but didn't attach much value to them when I cleaned out the attic a few years ago and tossed them. I think it will be cool to look back in say 10 years and see how the parks have changed.  I have ones from 1999, 2000 and 2001 for SFA so far.

I collect brochures and maps.  I collect this stuff from the parks I go to.  In addition, I either e-mail the park or write them a letter to request the park info (like you do) if I do not go to that park that year.  I actually started a web site recently all about amusement and theme park brochures.  It has a good amount of new and old brochures and I add one each week.  Check it out at www.themeparkbrochures.com

I am always collecting maps. I must have over 100 of them. My crown jewel is my 1976 Geauga Lake souvenier map which hangs on my wall.
I have easily 60-75 maps. I'v gne to only about 10 of them, the rest were mailed to me from he parks or friends giving them to me when they o on coaster trips. BTW, ALF is cool, I have Disneyland mpas from 1965, 1975, 1978, 1985 (my birthyear :)), and all map after 1992. My family has alays loved Dineyland. We even have ALL of the collectors cards if any buzzers out there remember those from their 40'th birthday.

For those of you who do collect these, try to store them in plastic containers to help keep them away from moisture and small critters
