Can Lapbars be put on vertical-spikeing Premiers?

I was wondering, could it be done? I know that the lapbars are very safe and secure, but on R:TC's zero-G roll, they still allow a lot of movement both vertically and laterally. I would imagine a vertical spike would be pretty cool with only a lapbar, but maybe the forces wont allow it.

As for which coasters, both mr. freezes should get them. As for Speed the ride, its smoothness and basic manuvars really dont matter with or w/o lapbars.

*My Personal Top 5*
1)-Nitro, 2)-S:ROS(sfne), 3)-Kraken, 4)-Alpengeist, 5)-Incredible Hulk

Superman: The Escape and Tower of Terror both have nothing more than big padded lapbars. The Mr Freezes look like they aren't too extremely lateral or change direction too often. If SFoT/SFStL think that lapbars will increase popularity enough to make a difference in profits, they will install them.

While I am not a psychic in any way or form, I will say that I see lap bars on the Mr. Freeze coasters next year.  Just a hunch.

-Sean (and a good hunch at that)

I agree Sean I heard many rumors abot SFOT installing lap bars.
Sean, if you look into your crystal ball again, do you see lap bars for Jokers Jinx and Poltergeist?

Eagerly awaiting your reply!

Six Flags is planning to put lap bar on all  their Premier LIM coasters
Legendary, last I heard, SFA had  "no plans" to put laps on JJ.  Shame, as it would be a big improvement.  This may be revised considering the response to the laps on the FOFs, but as of August, thy were not changing restraints.  Sean, your "just a hunch" SEEMS just a little hokey from my perspective (re: Mr. Freezes)...LOL, but if you don't know (about Poltergeist/JJ), I doubt anyone else would!

Ok,  From what I was told, Paramount had a lot of the 'say' in the redesign of the restraints for Flight of Fear. Other parks with the same old restraints heard about the improvements that the Paramount coasters recived, and wanted the same treatment.

Rumor has it that Premier actually went to SFA first (keep in mind this is a rumor only...but it makes a bit of sense since they are located near that park) to talk to the park about the new lap bars.  It spread from there.

My source for the Mr. Freeze lap bar retrofit should be 100% (God.......I hate when I hear other people do that.....and now look.) correct. I was told that the trains are now being worked on.  Take that for what it's worth. Not an official answer mind you......but IMO, it would not surprise me the least to see ALL Premier coasters to operate with lap bars in the future.

-Sean (who thinks FoF is the best coaster at PKI now.......just because of a modification)
