time between new coasters

How long has your home park gone without a new coaster

My home park, carowinds went 12 years between the cyclone(1980) and the vortex(1992) and lost white lightenin' during that time

I know some of the traditional parks  can beat this

I'm not looking for 1 coaster parks in this survey

Great Adventure went from 89 to 93 without an addition.
All I can say is, Kennywood. Although its not my hometown park and it is one of my favorites, they have 6 coasters (including L'il Phantom) and have been open for 100+ years. They also got rid of an old junior wooden coaster in the 80's.

Now, I do realize their problem with space on one hand.

SFWoA went from 1926 (Clipper)-1968 (renamed Clipper to Big Dipper) then 1969-77 without a new coater. Then 1978 (corkscrew) until 1988 (RWB. The 1996 Corkscrew was replaced with Mind Eraser (boomarang) and in 1998 we got Serial Thriller. Then 2000 hit and Geauga Lake was turned into SFO and then SFWoA.

I pray that I will never see a Six Flags Conneaut Lake

Valleyfair its only been 3 years since we got the Mad Mouse.  I'm guessing the fair will see something big in 2003 or 2004.

Adventureland's last coaster was built in 1996 so that's a five year period

Arnold's Park... Well its been a while. 1927 since their last Adult Coaster.

Just wait till next year!

Actually, Geauga Lake went from 1 coaster (Big Dipper, then to Clipper then to Big Dipper again) 1925 to about 1955 or so before they added their Herchell Wild Mouse. Then the park removed that Mouse(not sure when) and Installed a Pinfari Galaxi called CYCLONE in 1975 or 1976 where Turtle Beach is Now. The Cyclone was sold to Holiday World in 80-81 and has been sold since from HW in 97 or 98 to Amusements of America.

Corkscrew was 1978 and Double Loop was 1977

I saw the Cyclone on Refreshing look. Looked similar to the CP Wildcat. I thought dipper opened as clipper: http://www.rcdb.com/installationdetail236.htm
Either way, gotta love the Miller airtime :)

Speaking of time between coasters, Doesn't BGT have some pattern (every 3 years?) Which would mean (if it's not just a coincidence) that BGT will get a new one for 2002.

Dipper "May" have opened as Clipper. I think it switched names inbetween there. Everyone has a different story
Maybe The original name was Clipper-Big Dipper ;)
Clipper would have been a nice name for Shipwreck Falls :)

My fellow Americans, let's roll!
I pray that I will never see a Six Flags Conneaut Lake

SCBB-Giant Dipper (1924), Jet Star (1972) which is 48 years.

I hope it's not a coincidence, because BGT(my home park) was rumored a month or two ago that it would get a B&M hypercoaster.  I would be a happy man if I could live less than 30 miles from a hypercoaster...

B&M coasters, the best thing to be obsessed about!
