SLC with a helix at the end!

I wince in pain when I see SLC's. The helix looks cool though.

They should build some of those "Helix SLC" coasters in the US. I never found them to be that bad.

Yeah, maybe they could just add a helix to some already-built SLC's.

I'm pretty sure that the "helix ending" is now available as a "standard-model" SLC, since there are a couple of them out now.  It was probably originally a custom design, but proved enjoyable (and therefore, repeatable).

What SLC is in So. Africa? The only inverted in Africa that I know of  is The one by Giovannola called Anaconda. It does have a helix around a giant fake rock/mountain and it makes the SLC look like total crap lol

Cobra at Ratanga Junction in South Africa is a Vekoma SLC with the helix.

The Leathal Weapon at Movie World in Australia is the same layout as the one in the pictures.  The only rough part to the ride is when you enter the barrel roll and that's only if you are in the front seat.  It is know as a SLC mark3 I think with the helix as a modification.  The one in Aus was built in 1995.  When were the others built??

i guess i'll go down in history as the only man who really likes SLCs. I had just as much fun on Serial Thriller at SFWoA as I did on any other ride there.

That is the same exact layout as the Great Noreaster at Moreys Pier (minus the helix,) and they should have it on that one. It would be a good finishing touch. I can only ride that 2 times in a row. Anymore and I have a headache. I still like them.

I by no means hate SLCs! As Wayne pointed out, we have that model SLC here, I believe it is also often referred to as SLC+. The one over here at Movie World is smooth, and guess what... it's been maintained exceptionally, as it is still one of the most popular rides in Australia. People who have been on their local Six Flags never maintained SLC, can't really say they have experienced a true SLC. If you go to Europe, the first thing you will notice about their Vekoma coasters is that they are very well kept and as a result, quite smooth, even compared to other makes of coasters.

Couldn't agree more.  Blackout is a SLC in Suzuka, Japan that I absolutely love.  It is the smoothest one I have yet to ride, although I don't like the front seat on them.  Too much push, and pull from the tail....

Smooth in the moring...give me a break. I swear to god I was on the first train to disbatch for the day (with passengers, of course) and I got a headache after my 2nd time and my ears were red and hot like they are when i'm tired.

All I can say mate is that SFA needs to fire their maintainace guys cause the SLC Mark3 at Movie World is still as smooth as a babies backside and it is almost 7years old.  If you maintain them, They will be smooth.
