The lateral supports of Shivering Timbers...

Why does Shivering Timbers have so many lateral supports on it's first 3 hills?

It's only 125 ft. tall...Mean Streak is 161 ft. tall, and it doesn't have as many lateral supports on it's big hills. Was this just overhead on the part of the park/CCI, or did they add these because of the fact that it's in a field, and there is a chance of high winds?

Lake Erie also gets high winds. Isn't there alot of bracing on Mean Streak's second hill? I noticed the extra bracing on Villian as well. Probably a safety thing. Plus maybe Dinn told his daughter that something he regretted not putting on some coasters was the extra bracing since Raging Wolf Bob's third turn (the one over the boardwalk) really shakes to the point that you don't feel safe on it at first glance (the top of the track must easily shake a good couple of feet).

I think it looks ugly, and so does the valley floor on Deja Vu, but I guess they are needed...

I bet you one thing. If Deja Vu's valley floors where incorporated to the actual design of the support structure, a lot of people wouldnt be complaining so much.

BTW I think the valley floors are ugly too.
