After Season?

I know others will agree that unless you live near an all season park, your home park is or going to close for the season. Is there anyway to deal with the tensions of knowing or not knowing what your park's new ride will be and how to suppress the "coaster crave"?

Snowboard.  You don't even think about it.

I hope to go to BGT in January like I did last year but if don't then Skiing/snowboarding will have to do.
I'm sad to say that homework keeps me occupied. They pour it on us come Christmas time. Go figure...

I live in southern California, so I can get plenty of coaster riding. Actually, I am always busy with something, so there is always something that will keep me occupied (school, summer job, service hours, etc.) year around.

I deal with the "stress" by counting all the money I'll be saving by not a) driving back and forth to my local park and out-of-state parks b) paying for hotels c) paying tolls & parking fees (the trip to Great Adventure from Baltimore is a killer) d) buying amusement park food!

As for what your local park may be building, that's part of the fun!

The winter of 1999-2000 was kind of neat. Having Hershey Bears season hockey tickets, I drove past the then "under construction" Lightning Racer at least 40 times over the off season on my way to Hersheypark Arena. This year not only will I get to do the same thing for "Roller Soaker", but also the new Giant Center as well (still hate to see the team move out of the old Arena though).

I know it's a shame, but I get all tense close to the opening day.   Probably about a month in advance.  I uasually though just keep surfing the internet to keep myself occupied, so to speak, with the coaster world.  But then when opening day comes, I just go all out.  I ride like I haven't riden for years.  In fact, because of being a freshman in college, I had to leave home and miss the end of my parks (SFA) season.  So I know this year is going to be worse.  Somebody HELP!

So...you can't handle a rollercoaster huh? Well...you ARE the Weakest Link! Goodbye!

I dont really have to worry about off season because I live in Naples. Florida. Busch Gardens, Ioa, and us are open
SFGA2001..... "Roller Soaker" is indeed the name for the new Hershey Park coaster. The winner was picked about 2 weeks or so. I don't like the name though. I see it as unoriginal and dull.

Dave

I just listen to music, go to concerts, hang out with my friends, play sports, look at coasters on the internet.  I usually manage to go most of the winter without any problem, but I get the craving from time to time.
