Six Flags Employee Housing?

Working at now three diffrent amusement parks in my life. (Lagoon, Adventuredome, and Cedar Point) I have always wondered about adding a Six Flags Park to the list, if any Six Flags park probaly SFMM. Anyways, can anyone tell me about their employee housing. (Prices, quality, distance from park and local shoping center's, etc). Wh knows maybe you will see me there next season instead of CP...

SFGA has housing about 30 minutes away, but they provide transportation for you.  From what I hear, housing is relativily cheap. 

SFgadv has housing right next to nitro for $50 a week. You don't have to worry bout transportation and it's halfway decent living conditions. They also offer housing on the jersey shore for $100 with transportation.

SFGAdv to TOWN shopping?  Ummm...nowhere's near it.  You have a Wawa, McD's, BK, and a little strip mall with Top Gun Paintball, but it's not what I would call "Town"...you're better off going somewhere not to far away (where I live, maybe...15 minutes) off of I-195 and renting.

How much is CP housing?

Free right now! :) It's rather cheap during the saeson to0 methinks.

CP housing varies depending on where they put you. Off point housing w/ air conditioning is the most expensive at something like 32.50. The cheapest are the on-point dorms at something like 16.50. It comes directly out of your paycheck. Considering how many hours they make you work, its not that bad.

I paid the 32.50/week for the newer (1500 building) Dorms and loved 'em. A/C and all. Very Cheep! :)

Forgive me for asking a newbie-type question out of ignorance...

I've never heard of parks providing housing for employees before. How does this work? Why do they do it? I always assumed employees were residents of the area who just lived at home and drove to the park each day.

Well heres what I think Etoile, I know Paramount's and Six Flags import people from Europe because they don't have enough workers. I met one of them at PGA she was from Russia, her name was Anastasia (a really nice name :)) and she said she was here for a summer thing and she was in a college down in Silicon Valley. Paramount provided her with a scholarship in return that she work there. So I'm assuming in a situation like that she stays in a dorm and Paramount picks her up when it's time for work.

P.S. She let us cut in line (up the exit) on any ride she worked on! (Top Gun, Greased Lightnin', Triple Play and Vortex!)

Cedar Point Employs from all over the world, they need thousands of employees each season and can't get them all localy so they provide housing at a small cost. Understand? If you have any more questions I can explain further...
