Question on nitro

What part of nitro gives the most airtime?? I rode this baby in the back and found it to have very little airtime- infact the only parts of the ride i found any good were the first drop and second hill. (this is just in the back seat).  Am i sitting in the wrong part of the train?? With all the hype about it's amazing airtime, etc, i don't see where it's coming from.

I sat in the back and the front, and found the back to be much better.  In the front, you actually stall over the hills, getting kind of pitched forward.  It's not airtime, just forward motion.  I got good floater air in the back, and I liked the ride a lot, but it doesn't have the really memorable airtime of an Intamin machine.

Yes it is the wrong part of the train. On opening day I sat in the back for 4 rides and thought it was way over rated for its airtime. I then rode the front for 6 rides and it produced AMAZING amounts of air time. Its so much air it gets kind of scary.

I rode the front once, back 5 times. 'Nuff said.

i think nitro is over rated . it look way more intimidating than it is. i enjoyd the rid but it did not live up to my expectations.

as  far as this awsome airtime i did not notice it. maby my lapbar was too tight

I agree with scanz, I rode once in the middle and six times in the back! Awesome airtime!

The font is the best place for airtime.

I think it depends on what you consider airtime. In the front (my favorite), I find that the air begins as the crest of the hill starts on the way up and then you float over and down into the valley between hills. In the rear you simply feel the seat drop out from under you as you start down the hills, not nearly as much fun. I also think your weight makes a big difference on Nitro. The intense swings from positive to negative G's an back again, seem to have more effect on heavier guests.

The front is definetly the place for airtime, especially if its a full train in 90 degree heat. Theres one, actually two advantages in the back seat. On the first drop, the back seat gets a sort of "whipping" motion similar to AC or RB. This produces spectactular free-fall airtime (if you're not stapled in). After the hammerhead, on the fourth hill, you get another batch of incredible free fall airtime as you crest the hill. I think its because this hill is smaller, and has more upward force as the downward curve increases.

Yes i did love nitro. I think it is a great ride,but i just thought there was no air time at all. I rode in the front,middel,and the back but still not much air time at all. If you want alot of air time ride superman ride of steel at SFA.

I rode Nitro tonight once in the front and once in the back. I found the front to produce more airtime and I was even more stapled than in the back. The front car of this ride is absloutely amazing espeacially at night.Also it was cold tonight and the ride was still running fast

Like all B&Ms Nitro starts off slow and is not at its best in the morning.  Once heated up it has excellent airtime.  I found that there were more individual bursts of aritime in front, but longer periods of airtime when you did get it in the back.

I rode it last night, last row right side.  One of the best rides I had all year long. It was filled with tons of air time. 

I never rode in the *very* front, but I've ridden in row two twice and the last row once (and second from the back thrown in for good measure :)). I by far prefered the back. On the first drop, the camelback after the hammerhead and (my favorite) the drop off the midcourse all have nice floatage. Like someone said, not the intensity of an Intamin, but good never the less. The cool parts near the front were the "broken" camelbacks (e.g. the second hill). It felt like you were going to be pitched out the side.
