extreme rides 2002

I think that is what it's called. 2001 or 2002. Anyway, here's my question:

What coasters do you think deserve to be on one of the discovery channel rollercoaster shows? Nitro, deja vu? What do you think?

Nitro and Phantom Revenge absolutely deserve to be on the show. Hypersonic XLC should be on it, too.

I already know of that Acrophobia and Batwing will be of the elite coasters to be featured on Extreme Rides 2002. The 2000 version did show a half minute footage of Stealth (very similar to Batwing & X-Flight) in the "what's to come in the future" section of the program along with (as I recall) Goliath, Son of Beast, and contruction streams of Millennium Force.

Yeah seth, nitro should definitly be on it. If Apollo's chariot and raging bull got on it, nitro should get on.

I'm sorry if you missed it or just forgot, but HyperSonic XLC was one of the featured rides in the 2001 Extreme Rides TV program...and same with the following so other people don't list fore-featured rides

Well it's good to know that Apollo's Chariot and Raging Bull were never on the Extreme Rides TV program series. So don't be too hasty with ER2002 on featuring Nitro, as they have gone through a LOT of hyper coasters already and there would be no use of airing ANOTHER one, even though I would like to see Nitro aired on TV

Yeah I missed the 2001 Extreme rides, many of the featured rides were already on previous editions. i think that is kind of lame, the show should include mostly new innovative coasters.

kRaX, I don't think alpengeist will get on. It's already been featured.

Raging Bull is not just another Hyper Coaster either but it still wasn't on there.

Ohh, yeah Alpengeist is just another invert, Steel Dragon is just another giga-coaster. Just because a coaster is not a new prototype doesn't mean it doesn't deserve to be on the show. Nitro and Phantom Revenge are amazing rides and have some cool elements for a hyper. All the rides do not have to be incredibly new technology.

Who selects the rides to be featured? Sometimes, I doubt their choices but most of the time they do a good job.

Maybe they vote?

Well it depends on what were getting in 2002, because Hypersonic was new in 2001 and got on the 2001 show.

Raging Bull, Don't Fight It, Ride It

I would presume that the rides to be featured are selected by the producers of the show.  Of course they have to have the cooperation of the park.

Hypersonic was probably able to make the show the year it opened because it was completed much earlier in the year than most new coasters are.

If I had to pick ONE ride to be on the ER2002 show it would definitely be PHANTOM'S REVENGE. Not necessarutly because the ride is that great (which by the way I think it is) but rather because of the whole story behind the ride. You know, it being a bastardized congregation of Arrow and Morgan technology.

My runner up would be the *new* Flight of Fear...
